Bill’s Seminar Topic:
Ohio River Fishing
Learn tips & tricks to become a better river fisherman.
At age 44, Bill Lowen has accomplished quite a lot – especially since he’s only been fishing full time for 14 years. But he has a lifetime of knowledge to back that up. He cut his teeth on fishing the Ohio river, and by paying close attention – discovered the best way to use swim jigs in different depths to catch those wily bass!
Bill swims a jig better than most – and it’s a major part of his fishing strategy. He’s a 10-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier, 3-time Elite Series runner-up. He also took 10th place in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic, and in the 2015 he was 15th in point standings in the Bassmaster Elite Series!
His “Lowen’s Signature Series Swim Jigs” designed by himself, are big sellers for anglers, and he talks about the use of this type of jig when fishing. His seminars seek to teach anglers of all skill levels tips, tricks and when to use different rods and swim jigs in different depths of water and weather conditions.
Bill and his wife Jennifer have two children – Nevaeh and Fischer. When he isn’t fishing – he is out pursuing his other hobby – hunting waterfowl, deer and turkey. He’s an outdoorsman through and through!
